It was in my anthology next to The Grasshopper and The Ant in case some kid missed the point. Growing up Jewish might have helped too. Jews have a holiday where one is supposed to eat (and sometimes sleep) in a temporary structure made of lightweight plant matter to remind oneself of the impermanence of such dwellings used during the post-Exodus period.
